2009 Chapter Goals

AFCEA Heartland Region
 Iowa Chapter - #211

Educational Scholarship Fund - Hold the Iowa Chapter AFCEA 3^rd annual golf outing. 
Raise $6,000 for educational fund.

Educational Scholarship Program - Award three $1,000 scholarships to students attending an Iowa College or University for the 2008-09 school year.  Topic of this year’s scholarship is “Application/Importance of your field of study to US National Defense”

K-12 Science Teaching Tools Award - Award $1,000 to Iowa school for science project. 
Initiate application process in January 2008 to schools throughout Iowa. 
Deadline for application submittal is March 14, 2008 with anticipated award in April 2008 for the 2008-09 school year.

Chapter Speaker Events - Conduct quarterly Iowa Chapter luncheons with an average attendance of 35 by featuring guest speakers who are highly influential and will share knowledge and experience relevant to current communications electronics issues on a local, regional or US level. 

Individual Chapter membership - Increase the Iowa Chapter membership from 102 members to 117 members
(15%) by December 31, 2008.
